  • What is this thing?

Good question. It’s a glimpse into the universe represented in my novel Chosen Different. It’s intended to provide further details into the characters and concepts shown in the book. It is also a means to show off other character and story possibilities that exist within the universe of Chosen Different. You can think of it as the notes I used to write Chosen Different, cleaned up and made useful. It is not necessary to read this think.pedia to understand my novel, but if you want to know more, here it is.

  • Why is it called think.pedia?

It's based on the concept of think.Net, which exists in the universe of Chosen Different. It is the internet equivalent in my world. Something like think.pedia is available to the characters in the Chosen Different universe. In the Chosen Different universe, think.pedia would be intermingled with normal encyclopedia information like a list of U.S. presidents, or the birds of North Ameica. This think.pedia, focuses on characters and concepts that are unique to the Chosen Different universe.

  • Is it done?

No, and hopefully it will never be done. This is just a small sample of the articles and characters that I intend to feature in the think.pedia. I had to pare down my article list into one I could manage to proofread and edit in a reasonable time frame, or at least make a poor attempt to do that. The think.pedia currently focuses most directly on characters and concepts in my first novel Chosen Different. As I write more stories, the think.pedia will expand.

  • Why are there so many typos?

As you might have already figured out, I’ve done pretty much this entire project myself, outside of the help of a few friends and loved ones. That means I did my best to get these articles readable but the volume raised some challenges. I plan to fix the typos as they are found. Don't worry, I had my novel professionally copy-edited.

  • Why isn’t there art?

I wish there was art and I plan for there to be, but as I said, I did this all myself. The cover for my novel was about the upper limit of my graphic design skills and it’s not terribly complicated (though I do love the look.) As for when there will be more art, that answer leads to the next question.

  • What’s the plan?

The plan is to grow the community. It’s to get people to read the book and come to this site. Once, I’ve got some people coming, I want to get them involved. I would love for the art problem to be solved by the community and fans of Chosen Different. I would love to get to pick reader art, or have fans vote on the art. Someday, I would love to let users create their own characters on the think.pedia and their own stories. I want to explore the universe together.
