Nuclear Theory is one of the Theories on the Cause of Differentiation. It holds that Different individuals were created as a result of the use and testing of nuclear weapons leading to, during, and after World War II. Supporters believe that the nuclear radiation from the bombs permeated the human race, causing genetic mutations that created Differents. Nuclear Radiation is often cited as the source in the Single Parent Theory.

Critics of this theory will concede that nuclear material could cause genetic mutations in the human population, they just argue that random mutations could not explain the diversity and extremity of the mutations observed in Different individuals. Moreover, if nuclear material was indeed affecting the human population, there would likely be an increase in cancer rates worldwide, as well as other birth defects observed in populations confirmed to be affected by nuclear fallout. These phenomenons have not been observed.
