Biography
Larry Rosen was born in Washington D.C. in 1961. Both of Larry’s parents worked in the government. When Larry was 15, he Differentiated. Larry’s Differentiation almost killed him. Morphers possess extra muscles, tendons, and cartilage that help them change the shape of their face. Larry was an extreme case in that he developed the extra tissue all over his body. Unfortunately, these new structures pressed on his internal organs, threatening his life.
Larry’s parents appealed to the authorities for assistance, and he was referred to Section 26. Section 26 doctors attempted to help Larry by surgically removing the tissue that threatened his organs. This tissue just kept re-growing, however, so Section 26 turned to a clinical team that attempted a psychological approach. Larry was trained to focus on the muscles around his organs; by keeping certain muscles relaxed and others flexed, he was able to survive.
Larry developed methods to cope with his need to control his muscles whilst going about a normal daily life. After fully recovering, Larry stayed at Section 26; he was hired to assist with the training of Differents who were having difficulty controlling their abilities. Larry continued to develop and hone his methods, eventually implementing a training manual for Section 26 personnel. This manual became an integral part of the Section 26 program once the Different Acts of 1986 made it mandatory for all Differents to pass evaluation by Section 26 personnel.
Larry continues to work for Section 26. He writes periodic updates to his training manual and travels around the nation, assisting young people with extremely challenging Differentiations.
Differentiation
Larry is a Morpher, this means his body has a series of extra tendons, muscles, and cartilage. These extra structures allow Larry to alter his physical appearance. Unlike many Morphers who are limited to manipulating their face, or minor bodily features. Larry possesses extra tissue all over his body. This allows him to change his height and physical shape, in addition to his facial features. Larry also possesses a level of control over the oils and pigments his body produces, allowing him a degree of control over his complexion and hair color.
Larry is Metabolic. He requires approximately 10,000 calories a day in order to function.
